Terms of Use
A PLANE! helps you spot aircraft. It is a hobby tool, and the sky does not always follow a prediction.
Effective October 2, 2026
Using the app
These terms cover the A PLANE! app and website provided by Michael Gorini. You may use the app for personal aircraft spotting, subject to these terms and applicable law. The app is currently free. Availability of a feature depends on your device, permissions, network connection and third-party services.
Estimates, not guarantees
Aircraft positions, altitudes, identifiers, routes and passing times can be incomplete, delayed or wrong. Predictions use recent observations rather than confirmed flight plans. Aircraft can turn or change speed and altitude; notifications can arrive late or fail to arrive. Camera guidance depends on device sensors and may drift.
Do not use the app for aviation navigation, air traffic control, emergency response or any safety-critical decision. Pay attention to your surroundings, respect restricted areas and do not use the camera while driving.
Accounts and fair use
Keep your device and any linked Apple account secure. Do not bypass access controls or request limits, extract other users’ data, interfere with the service or use it unlawfully. Service limits may change to keep the app available. You can delete your app account in Settings. The Privacy Policy explains data handling.
Third-party services and ownership
The app relies on Apple, Supabase, aircraft data and map providers. Their availability and relevant terms affect the features they support. Aircraft data is supplied by ADSB.lol. Maps in the app use CARTO and OpenStreetMap. The website’s illustrative map uses public-domain Natural Earth data.
The app’s branding, design and code remain the property of their respective owners. Open-source components retain their own licences. For the App Store app, Apple’s standard software licence agreement applies unless a different licence is presented on its product page.
Changes and responsibility
We may update features, apply reasonable limits or discontinue services. To the extent permitted by law, the app is provided as available, without a guarantee of uninterrupted operation, complete coverage or accurate predictions. Nothing in these terms excludes mandatory consumer rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.
These terms may change as the service develops. The updated version will appear here with a new effective date. For support or questions, contact michael.gorini@icloud.com.
